This wind load-rated kit is designed with specific components, such as jamb brackets, hinges, rollers and reinforcing struts that can withstand wind pressures. All these components, along with the door sections themselves, comprise a complete wind load system and help protect against garage door failure during a high wind event. Product has been tested under +40.5/-46.20 PSF conditions to support a final +25.0/-28.2 PSF 160MPH design. Proper door selection is the responsibility of the homeowner. Wind speed assumes a typical application and category B topography as defined by ASCE 7-16. Consult your local building code official, certified engineer or architect for wind load requirements in your specific location. This purchase does not include installation. Package requires purchase of a wind load rated door. Kit cannot be sold without wind load rated door.
