This rug is a unique piece of world art that will enhance your living space. The original design of the Bokhara rug originated in Turkmenistan. They are made on portable wooden looms. They obtain their dyes naturally from local vegetables flowers tree bark minerals and insects. Graphs or blueprints for the patterns are used more often today but true masters create signature designs and color combinations showing their skill. The knot count per square inch for this rug is 200. The pile height is 0.25 inches. This rug is made of 100-percent wool. Colors include grey tan red black beige and ivory.Story Behind the Art:Tribal bokhara rugs are made by village weavers in Karachi and Lahore Pakistan. They spend years weaving each intricate detail into these rugs. Due to the handmade nature of our rugs the size may vary from as advertised by 3-4 inches.
