The intricate design is achieved by interweaving various colors of vertical and horizontal strands. Majority of the weavers are women who live in the villages of Afghanistan Pakistan and India. By creating more jobs for female weavers we support their families and communities. Local farmers also benefit from wool sales and local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs.Care and Maintenance: Regular vacuuming and annual professional cleaning will keep your kilim looking new for years to come.
