This kilim is made of 100-percent wool and pure vegetable dyes. The knot count for this kilim is 200. Kilims are known as pile-less flat-weave floor coverings; the design is also known as slit-weave. We have been given the opportunity to create jobs for over 2000 local village weavers which helps them to greatly support their families. The majority of the weavers are women who live in the villages of Afghanistan Pakistan and India. As we grow we are able to create more jobs for female weavers who otherwise would not have the opportunity to do so. The community also thrives from rug weaving as the local farmers benefit from wool sales and the local artisans create natural and vegetable dyes for the weavers to use in their designs.The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates variations in color size and design.
